Nokia, the name no one can forget. Before android came in the market, Nokia had covered entire Smartphone phone market. Nokia 3310, Nokia 1100 were ruling mobile phone market. This phone, the Mango man’s phone, it was water resistance, dust resistance, fire resistance (really!), tsunami resistance (little exaggeration!) and let’s not forget its battery capacity which could last long for a week easily. In that era, Nokia was the legend! Nokia’s Smartphones were known for their durability, quality, and that rocking Symbian platform, but all of these were before the dawn of android OS. Even nowadays, people are eagerly waiting for android phones for Nokia.
Somehow Nokia listened to people’s urge and they have launched Nokia 9, which works on android 7.1 with some coolest features. But the irony is it has not been launched in India. But for Indians, the joy has come in another form. Nokia has relaunched its iconic Nokia 3310 with the more advanced feature. Yeah! It’s been 18 years since your father bought his first mobile phone as Nokia 3310, now it’s your turn!
Nokia 3310: What New Add
On 14th February 2017, modernized version of Nokia 3310 has been announced by HMD Global Oy, a finish manufacture with rights to manufacture Phones under Nokia brand. On 26th February 2017, It was relaunched. At the time of its release, it was announced that this phone would work only on 2G, which led to criticism and this stopped the release of this phone in Australia and Singapore because these countries are in the process of phasing out their 2G network.
Nokia is expected to launch Nokia 3310 in India pretty soon with price about ₹3899. Pre-booking is available on onlymobiles.com. The Indian version will be available in four colors: Warm red, Grey, Yellow and Dark blue.
Design & Specification
Nokia 3310 is a dual Sim phone which has a 2.40-inch display with screen resolution 240X320 Pixels. It has 16 MB internal storage which is more than some high priced Smartphone. It has a 2-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and there is no front camera. It works on series 30 Operating System with 1200 mAh removable Li-Ion battery. It also has memory card slot with expandable memory up to 32 GB.
Nokia 3310 has basic functions like FM Radio and a basic web browser with limited functionality. It has 3.0 Bluetooth connectivity and 3.5 mm jack. Another connectivity functions like Wi-Fi, GPS and NFC are unavailable. New Nokia Phone mimics its predecessor in the design, but it has a bigger screen and available in more colors.

This phone will work on 2G (2.5G preciously) which lowers its value. This phone is not for those youngsters who can’t live without their Smartphone, but it’s for those classic lovers who still enjoy their ‘Snakes’. You can’t expect those fancy features you are using right now on your phone but this going to rock the classic market for sure. I am going to buy it as soon as it released because I desperately need a spare phone whose standby battery time is 31 days!

Nokia 3310 has been announced by HMD Global at Nokia MWC 2017. This phone is expected to go on sale on 28th April in Austria and Germany. An official from HMD Global says that they haven’t announced it for India yet, But somehow It has been reached to an Indian retailer site with price ₹3899. As per promised, if standby battery time of this phone is 31 days then people will buy it as a spare phone or for their parents and grandparents. It works only on 2G and it doesn't have Wi-Fi, GPS. So, it is clearly mad for the older generation.
